THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Here's what I tell people. I shoot people. Sometimes I even pull out my 35mm. You should see your faces.
"Photography is the art of freezing a specific moment in time for an eternity"

Hey there! Glad to see you! My Name is Pit and I'm a self-taught sports photographer.
It's funny to me that over the past 9 months I started taking sports photography a bit more seriously. With 10 years+ in the media creation industry, I've always had my camera with me no matter where I went, but for some reason I kept everything to myself. Little trophies hidden away from the public eye. It's only been 6 months so far, but I've come a long way. From taking portraits, nature photos and spending oblivious hours in post-production to taking sports photos where everyday you learn something new. I still love a good post-production sesh though.
Learning the difference between a snap and real photography
I've started out with the worst gear possible, but learned so much along the way.
Rules of Third, Color grading, Lightning, Noise - my education allowed me to know of these various things but taking pictures and getting confronted with it in real-time was a game changer.
The 20/60/20 rule helped me a lot during my still on-going learning process. It boils down to:
- 20% Learning your gear and how to adapt;
- 60% Practicing & Being Creative;
- 20% Business.
It was only by pure chance that I got into Luxembourgish football. Before my time at Racing Union Luxembourg, I only enjoyed watching American football and I still do (go Chiefs!), but over the last two years I made connections that I didn't make within the last ten years. And for that I'm really grateful!
